Every year, Witchery, a leading Australian women’s fashion brand, launches the White Shirt campaign, an initiative to raise funds for ovarian cancer research. The multifaceted campaign utilises digital platforms, social media, TV, in-store promotions, and large-scale events. In this case study, we explore the challenges we faced, the solutions we devised, and the successful outcomes of the campaign.
the challenge

Witchery entrusted us with their creative assets and campaign direction, seeking an integrated and impactful campaign that would seamlessly connect their White Shirt initiative across various platforms, from digital to in-store. The campaign required an approach that would ensure a consistent appearance across different platforms, activate event spaces, create point-of-sale signage, and establish visual elements in their head office and flagship stores, all while maintaining colour consistency and vibrancy across all touchpoints.

the solution

Drawing upon our experience with challenging colours, we were well-prepared to meet the demands of the Witchery White Shirt campaign. Witchery's need for a consistent appearance across different platforms and activated event spaces presented us with a unique opportunity to demonstrate our versatile capabilities.

To address the distinct challenge presented using Pantone021, a vibrant orange synonymous with the PE Nation brand, we delved deep into our expertise. The OCRF campaign was a collaboration between two iconic brands in women’s fashion; Pip Edwards from PE Nation and Witchery, so we needed to accurately represent both brands. The striking orange was an impactful element to the campaign, chosen for elements such as window wraps and to envelop an event space in Bondi Westfield, transforming it into an eye-catching orange cube. While this specific shade is notoriously challenging to reproduce, our printing capabilities, including extended colour range, allowed us to replicate the shade perfectly to represent both brands authentically throughout the campaign. We selected a variety of materials such as acrylics, PVC, and self-adhesive vinyls to create seamless and visually engaging displays throughout each touchpoint.

The Print Factory managed installation across multiple sites throughout Australia and New Zealand, all on the same specified day in order to meet campaign requirements. Our logistical excellence shone through in the central campaign coordination, as we efficiently dispatched uniform campaign collateral to all Witchery stores across Australia and NZ.

The Witchery White Shirt campaign is a testament to the fusion of creative ambition and practical execution. We successfully navigated the challenges of colour consistency, material diversity, and large-scale installations. The resulting campaign was visually striking, impactful, and coherent, effectively raising funds for a noble cause and reinforcing Witchery's reputation as a brand with purpose. In doing so, we also lived up to our mission of helping brands be seen, experienced, and remembered. We are proud to have been involved with this amazing cause, turning their ideas into tangible realities, and delivering an exceptional journey every step of the way.
